iPhone Sled

This iPhone sled concept integrates an Intermec scan engine and extended battery capability with an iPhone. The form-factor of the sled allows seamless compatibility with the existing CN50/60 ecosystem of peripheral devices and batteries.


CT40

CT40 is a small, semi-rugged handheld computer, designed for light industrial and retail use. The Industrial Design of the CT40 borrowed elements from consumer phones and electronics. The CT40 was originally conceived as a full-screen device with a minimal keyset.



FlexDock

The FlexDock is a modular docking/charging system that adapts wide variety of hardware. The replaceable “cup” modules allow customers to update hardware without replacing expensive infrastructure. This system is currently deployed globally.

Designed for a major lawn and garden company in the Midwest, these pots are a playful mix of form, CMF, combining Classical, Asian and Art and Crafts styles.

Dock concepts for handheld computer

From quick sketches to surface models in Alias studio, these concepts are a quick-turn exploration to help determine the design direction for the peripheral known as a “single dock”. Its purpose is to charge and communicate with a handheld computer and charge a single extra battery.


Production level keypads

Back in day… keyboard design and layout was a big deal! These “production level” keyboard layouts balanced the needs of users with the functionality of the OS and form-factor of the hand-held computer.
